He was born in Berisso, Province of Buenos Aires, Argentine Republic, on October 3rd, 1917. Son of Jorge Andrés and Trinidad Benitez, his childhood was spent together with his parents and his brother Roberto, in different parts of the country following the work activity of Mister George. Later, they settled permanently in the city of La Plata where he continued his studies graduating as Professor of Plastic Arts at the Faculty of Fine Arts, a position he held until his retirement both in that Institution and in other local schools and also in the "School de Artes Visuales de Mar del Plata", at the same time that he worked tirelessly in the development of his creations both in the area of drawing and sculpture.
He formed a solid family with Nelva Emilia Rossotti (his adored Chiche) and his daughter Alejandra, which he later completed with his son-in-law Gustavo for whom he felt great affection and his beloved grandchildren María Paula and Javier who managed to mark a radical change in his life.
He was a tireless worker, nurtured by an enormous sensitivity, passionate to the point of obsession, determined to capture in his numerous works through his techniques, what for him is the essence of Man and his heartbreaking search for Freedom.
He passed away on March 20, 2007, leaving an unforgettable trail in the hearts of his loved ones.
